The Abergavenny Baker is an award winning Cookery School located in Abergavenny town centre, the foodie capital of South Wales.

Established in 2015 by Dr Rachael Watson, a self taught baker, the classes are suitable for all abilities; for those who want to learn specific techniques and understand the science of yeasted breads or for friends, couples or family who just want a lovely day out doing something fun and creative.

We offer one day classes with a maximum of 6 to 8 bakers so there's plenty of opportunity for discussion, questions, and individual attention. We mix two or three doughs by hand and bake 4 or 5 different breads. Every class includes Second Breakfast to keep you going until lunch (with wine) and afternoon tea just before you leave at 4.30pm.
